Gok was born in 1974 in Leicester. After receiving his diploma in performing arts Gok won a place at the prestigious Central School of Speech and Drama studying Drama and Education. It wasn’t long before Gok discovered his love was for fashion and not performing and began working as a session Hair and Make-Up artist and soon after moved into Fashion Styling.
Over the last 10 years Gok has worked with many personalities and musicians including: Bryan Ferry, All Saints, Damien Lewis, Erasure, Vanessa Mae, Wade Robson, Lauren Laverne, Wet Wet Wet, Johnny Vaughn; to name just a few! His work has been published internationally in magazines including: Tatler, Glamour, Times Style, Marie Clare, Cosmopolitan, The Face, Afisha Mir, Clash, Oyster and People Mag (US).
Gok has worked with many renowned photographers including: Rankin, Mike Owen, Terry O’Neil, Arthur Elgort, Frank Heroldt, and John Swannell.
Gok has also gained extensive experience working as an ‘on-screen” fashion consultant on many TV shows including: MTV Shakedown (MTV Europe), GMTV (ITV), Today with Lorraine Kelly (ITV), Big Brothers Little Brother (Channel 4), Battle Of The Sexes (BBC1), The Wright Stuff (Channel 5), Make Me A Grown Up (Channel 4/T4), The Xtra Factor (ITV2) and T4 (Channel 4).
In 2006, Gok was approached by Channel 4 and asked to present his own fashion show; “How To Look Good Naked” (8 x 30min). The show has been a huge success winning him much industry and media approval and is being transmitted around the world to countries as far a field as Australia and New Zealand. Gok has also written the accompanying book to the series “How To Look Good Naked – The complete style bible” which is in the shops March 2007. The second series has been commissioned and is in production, due to air in spring 2007.
